About Me

Hello

I am Adwait Gandhe, an undergraduate student at BITS-Pilani, Goa Campus. I am originally from Pune where I attended Abhinava Vidyalaya High School and then M.E.S Abasaheb Garware College with vocational electronics. A keen interest in mathematics and physics led me to pursue engineering after graduation from junior college.

I have currently started third year in the EEE department. I am particularly interested in the applications of Computer Vision and Image Processing to Robotics and Automation. Along with this I am deeply fascinated by Embedded Systems. I currently hold the post of Vice-Chairperson of the IEEE student branch of my campus.

Apart from academics I enjoy studies pertaining to economics and finance. After getting good opportunities and exposure in the Humanities and Management Sciences group, I have developed keen interest in the scrutiny of social issues and current affairs, specially concentrating on the statistical analysis involved in these problems.

On a lighter note, I am an amateur astronomer, have helped in establishing CELESTIA, the astronomy club of BITS-Pilani, Goa Campus, a devoted fan of alternative rock, a coffee aficionado and a sports fanatic. Aside from being a devout Sachin Tendulkar fan, I also follow the English Premier League.

I am writing this blog with a view to develop a base for robot enthusiasts. As I personally developed interest in the field by reading other people's work, I want to write posts in a manner easily understood by beginners and try to explore further the exciting field of robotics and vision.
